Role Overview:
As an Associate DevOps Engineer on our Cloud Infrastructure team, you will
support the deployment and maintenance of our Kubernetes environments on GCP
and AWS. You will assist with infrastructure automation; help implement cloud
security measures and contribute to our cloud operations. Your role is important in
ensuring the reliability and security of our environments that host our secure
container platform and vulnerability database services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing Kubernetes clusters across GCP and AWS
- Support infrastructure as code implementation and maintenance
- Help with CI/CD pipeline operations and improvements
- Contribute to cloud security implementations and best practices
- Assist with monitoring system setup and alert response
- Support troubleshooting of infrastructure and deployment issues
- Help maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Contribute to documentation of cloud infrastructure
- Learn cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes best practices
- Collaborating with team members on infrastructure tasks
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in cloud engineering, system administration, or
related fields
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
- Familiarity with GCP and/or AWS cloud platforms
- Understanding of infrastructure as code concepts
- Basic Linux systems administration skills
- Scripting abilities (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Willingness to learn cloud security best practices
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent
experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for learning advanced cloud technologies
- Experience with containerization technologies
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices
- Interest in cloud security and compliance
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability solutions
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
- Interest in automation and infrastructure optimization
