Role Overview:
As an Associate DevOps Engineer on our Tooling team, you will support the development of
specialized security and automation tools for our container ecosystem. You will help
implement tools for security validation, compliance checking, and DevOps workflows. Your
role is important in enhancing our capabilities to build, validate, and maintain secure
container offerings through effective tooling and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing tools for security validation and compliance checking
- Support the creation of utilities for container security assessment
- Help implement automation tools for security and DevOps workflows
- Contribute to testing and validation of developed tools
- Assist with maintenance and enhancement of existing tools
- Help document tool usage and implementation details
- Support integration of tools with build and pipeline systems
- Learn security tool development best practices
- Collaborate with Security, Build, and Pipeline teams
- Grow skills in tool development and automation
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related fields
- Basic programming skills, particularly in Python or Go
- Familiarity with Linux environments and container basics
- Understanding of basic security concepts
- Experience with software testing and validation
- Willingness to learn security tool development
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with command-line tool development
- Basic knowledge of container security concepts
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security standards
- Interest in automation and scripting
- Experience with CI/CD integration
- Understanding of DevOps principles and workflows
