Role Overview:
As an Associate DevSecOps Engineer on our Design Maintenance team, you will support
the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our existing CleanStart container image
designs. You will assist in updating image specifications, document changes, and help test
design modifications. Your role is essential in ensuring our container images remain
secure, up-to-date, and free of vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating container image design specifications
- Support the design of security patches and updates
- Document design changes and maintenance requirements
- Help research package updates and compatibility issues
- Support testing of updated image designs
- Contribute to automation scripts for design maintenance
- Track vulnerabilities that affect existing container images
- Assist in validating design changes for security and functionality
- Learn maintenance best practices for container images
- Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related fields
Basic knowledge of container technologies and image creation
- Familiarity with Linux systems and package management
- Understanding of scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Interest in security and update management
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Eagerness to learn and grow in container security
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Docker, Podman, or other container tools
- Familiarity with version control and change management
- Basic understanding of vulnerability management
- Knowledge of software testing and validation
- Experience with documentation systems
- Interest in automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Background in software maintenance or support
